Ahead of its upcoming release in just a few weeks, publisher Deep Silver and developer Volition unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Saints Row reboot, providing six minutes of gameplay and story beats overview for players to familiarize themselves with before the game’s launch. This new trailer not only explains the game in detail, but also has some new footage for players to check out in terms of the game’s rival gangs, gameplay aspects, and so much more. Check out the new six-minute game overview for the Saints Row reboot below.
The Saints Row reboot is set in Santo Ileso, a fictional city in the American Southwest. This fictional territory is rife with crime, and to survive these lawless lands yourself, you need to enlist your own group called the Saints. Embark on your own criminal venture with a close group of friends in a bid for control of Santo Ileso over its powerful rival factions.
As for the factions in the Saints Row reboot, we have Los Panteros, a group very familiar with brawn and raw strength, vying for control in Santo Ileso with their muscle cars and heavy thugs. Another faction calls themselves The Idols, a mysterious yet flashy group with no known leader and a penchant for armed violence, all the while swagged up to the teeth with colorful, neon clothing. Then there’s the Marshall, or what’s considered Johnny Law around these parts. The Marshall is a privatized army that seeks to maintain order in Santo Ileso, but even they appear to have a hidden agenda up their sleeves.
As the boss of the Saints, you’ll need some help from your friends to tame Santo Ileso. You have three of them at your service: Eli, the business side of the Saints; Neenah, the mechanic who powers your team with armed and extremely dangerous vehicles; and Kevin, a wild and crazy partygoer who’s always out to have a good time.
The Saints Row reboot is launching on August 23 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. You can now pre-order the game’s various editions across all platforms.
