The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be official in less than 24 hours. Though rumors have suggested Samsung might launch the smartphone in stores Aug. 2 after it’s unveiling, a new report from 9to5Google suggests the actual release date of the Galaxy Note 7 will be Aug. 19, particularly for the carriers T-Mobile and Verizon. Prior reports have suggested T-Mobile may offer a buy-one-get-one deal for the Galaxy Note 7.
The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be available for preorder on Aug. 3, following its announcement. In addition to T-Mobile and Verizon, the smartphone should be available at the major carriers, including AT&T, Sprint and U.S. Cellular and should release at or around the same time.
Several reports indicate the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in black, blue and silver color options in the U.S., while a gold model will be available internationally. There has also been a pink model revealed in leaks; however, there is no word on when and where that model would be available.
The flagship may be available to consumers outside of the U.S. in a similar time frame as is rumored for T-Mobile. The device may release in Amsterdam Aug. 16, according to Dutch blog, Android Planet. Reports also indicate the Galaxy Note 7 is already available for preorder in Dubai, where it is reportedly selling for AED 500.
There are few details on what the Galaxy Note 7 might cost in the U.S. However, the price of the device is sure to vary by carrier or whether it’s unlocked. A mid-July report from Sammobile suggested the Galaxy Note 7 would sell for €849 . That price translates to $930; however, prices typically don’t convert directly from market to market. It is possible the Galaxy Note 7 could cost around $850. Most pundits expect a price between $700 and $800.
