Several rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Note 7 may release asone model, which may have Samsung’s dual-edge curved display. However, a new finding has pundits wondering if the manufacturer may release one Galaxy Note 7 model with a curved display and another with a standard flat display.
Tech blog Phone Arena recently discovered a Samsung website , which includes details about the upcoming flagship device. The user agent profile mentions a device with the model number SM-N930F. Tech websites have deduced this device is a Galaxy Note 7 model, considering previous Galaxy Note devices have followed a similar number sequence. The Galaxy Note 4 model number is SM-N910, while the Galaxy Note 5 model number is SM-N920. Currently rumors also suggest Samsung may skip the 6 number sequence for the next Galaxy Note device and instead call it the Galaxy Note 7. But internal naming for the device may stay the same.
SamMobile proposed that the SM-N930F model number could coindice with a Galaxy Note 7 handset with a flat display. The tech blog reported in May, details about a device under the model number SM-N935G might be a curved display model of the upcoming smartphone. Samsung typically includes a 5 in the model numbers of its Edge device, such as the Galaxy S7, which has the model number SM-G935. The flat display Galaxy S7 has the model number SM-G930.
Early Galaxy Note rumors suggested Samsung might release two devices. However, in recent weeks, several leaks of supposed marking material has lead pundits to believe the manufacturer might release single curved display device. The taglines on the teasers include “Write on the edge of something great” and “The next edge is right around the corner.”
Now rumors about the Galaxy Note 7 are as confusing as ever . But the device(s) will likely be announced Aug. 2 .
