The device to get in 2016 is either the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge, according to Consumer Reports . The monthly review magazine rated Samsung’s 2016 flagship smartphones as the top devices, pretty much of all time.
After the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge received abysmal reviews from Consumer Reports in 2015, Senior Editor Mike Gikas stated in an overview of his Galaxy S7/S7 Edge rating that the tweaks Samsung has made to its product have vastly improved its overall quality.
Consumer Reports highlighted features on the Galaxy S7 including its water resistance, microSD slot, battery life, interface performance and high quality camera, in addition to its more rounded design, which makes for easier handling and likely fewer drops. “These new models aren’t just Samsung’s best smartphones, but, perhaps, the best smartphones,” Gikas wrote in his report.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 have been on the market for just under two weeks. Reports indicate that the devices are exceeding sales expectations, and the devices have received glowing reviews from several of the top publications.
