A new game pack is arriving next week to The Sims 4. My Wedding Stories is set to introduce a new gameplay experience to all players. Alright, maybe not all players since this game pack won't be coming to Russia.

What exactly happened? The Sims Team revealed that they've always been delighted with how players managed to find love in the game and celebrate that through a wedding. When they started to create My Wedding Stories, it was all about the joy of finding love, celebrating that love, and telling stories that mean a lot for players on a personal level. This is the reason why the team was excited to introduce everyone to Dom and Cam. After all, their love story reflects the experience of many players in the community.
The team shared that as they moved forward with the development of this new game pack, they realized that Dom and Cam's story was something that couldn't be shared freely in some parts of the world. If they were to hold back the story, the team said that it would mean compromising the values they believe in.
What does this have to do with Russia? The country has a law that pretty much bans the distribution of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships" among minors. That meant the team had to choose between making changes to the content to meet the requirements set by the law or avoiding the region altogether. It seems they chose the latter and thus players in Russia won't be able to buy this game pack.
The My Wedding Stories Game Pack is launching on February 17. It's going to allow players not only to have weddings but everything associated with it. From the proposal, the planning, and even the rehearsal dinner. It's bringing to the game the paradise of Tartosa.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
