Monster Hunter X has been renamed Monster Hunter Generations, and Nintendo revealed a launch trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter Generations during the March 3 Nintendo Direct. Take a look at the Monster Hunter Generations debut trailer below:
Described as “the most customizable experience ever,” Monster Hunter Generations presents “four colossal threats” for the player to fight against. According to the trailer, players can “acquire powerful new abilities” and hunt online with friends as well.
Nintendo described a special bonus for Monster Hunter fans who already own Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. If you play Monster Hunter Generations on a 3DS that already has save data for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate , you’ll receive bonus content in Generations . To that end, the Nintendo eShop is running a special promotion: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is available at $19.99 for 48 hours starting March 3 at 6 PM.
Monster Hunter Generations also features special collaboration armor set based on Marth from Fire Emblem .
Monster Hunter Generations will release this summer, though Nintendo has yet to announce a more specific release date. Monster Hunter X launched in Japan last November and shipped over 3 million copies .
