Supergirl is the next to premiere on The CW, following The Flash and Arrow earlier this week. Aside from the host of new characters including Superman, Miss Martian, Lena Luthor, Maggie Sawyer and Mon-El, details about any big storylines in Season 2 are scarce. We still have yet to find out how exactly Supergirl will be integrated into the Arrowverse.
Supergirl and Superman will team up in the premiere episode, but ultimately it will be Kara’s responsibility to look after Mon-El, an alien like Kara who landed in National City in a Kryptonian pod in the Supergirl Season 1 finale. Adjusting to life in National City won’t be easy for Mon-El, if the synopsis for Season 2 episode 3, ‘Welcome to Earth,’ is any indication.
When The President of The United States (played by Lynda Carter) is attacked, Kara fears it could be Mon-El who is responsible. Check out the synopsis below.
LYNDA CARTER (“WONDER WOMAN”) LANDS IN NATIONAL CITY AS PRESIDENT OLIVIA MARSDIN — An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault.
The CW has also released an interview featuring Jeremy Jordan’s character, Winn. The clip reveals he will start working more closely with the DEO to help Supergirl protect the city.
Supergirl returns Oct. 10 on The CW .
