Nintendo is all set to release a wide range of indie games to the Switch. This was revealed by Nintendo through a new Indie World video. Today we look at some of those games and what they can offer.
In a post, Nintendo of America Senior Vice-President Steve Singer said that the large library of inspired indie games on the Switch is about to get even bigger. Singer went on to say that this all “thanks to the independent developers from around the world who have found their home on Nintendo Switch, the system continues to be a place where fans can enjoy an expanding and diverse library of indie games anytime and anywhere.”
Here are some of the indie games you can expect to arrive for the Switch:
- Hades
- Developer: Supergiant Games
- This god-like, rogue-like dungeon crawler has some of the best aspects from many of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles.
- Raji: An Ancient Epic
- Developer: Nodding Heads Games / Super.com
- This action-adventure game is set in ancient India and inspired by Hindu and Balinese mythology.
- Players take the role of a young girl that’s been chosen by the gods to fight against the demonic invasion of the human realm.
- Spiritfarer
- Developer: Thunder Lotus
- This management game features hand-drawn art and animations and has players befriend passengers while being able to customize and improve their ferry.
- Untitled Goose Game
- Developer: House House/Panic
- If you thought one goose was already a problem, be prepared to face two. This update is going to be available beginning September 23.
- Card Shark
- Developer: Nerial/Devolver Digital
- This stylishly illustrated adventure game is all about playing your cards right. In their journey from table to table, players need to build their repertoire of card tricks while managing their ill-gotten gains as the stakes get higher.
- Manifold Garden
- Developer: William Chyr Studio
- The game is set is a world filled with mind-bending puzzles that reimagines the laws of physics. This one is already available for the Switch.
- Garden Story
- Developer: Picogram/Rose City Games
- Players get to experience a wholesome and delightful world where they rebuild the community as Concord, the newly appointed Guardian of the Grove.
- Evergate
- Developer: Stone Lantern Games/PQube Limited
- A dream-like 2D puzzle-platformer that’s set in the afterlife with players controlling Ki, a child-like spirit that’s on a journey through life, death, space, and time.
