Tickets for The International Dota 2 Championship 2019 are available beginning Friday, May 24. TI9 is the premier Dota 2 tournament, and signals the end of the DPC Season as the top teams battle it out for supremacy.
This year, the world's top Dota 2 fight it out at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.
Tickets are sold in two-day bundles, with the weekday bundle priced at $70 (CNY499) and the weekend bundle at $300 (CNY2,099). As a reward for the Dota 2 community, Valve said that Battle Pass owners with subscriptions active prior to this announcement get the chance to have early access to buy the tickets. The same is true for Dota Plus members. To know if you are eligible, an access code is available in the Dota 2 Client.
Those inside China can buy tickets through Damai beginning May 23, at 12:00 a.m. EDT. From 12:00 to 1:00 a.m., purchases need to have an access code, but starting at 1:15 a.m. EDT, purchases are available to all customers. To complete the purchases, Chinese buyers need to have a Citizen ID. Here are additional details for those buying through Damai:
- Purchases are limited to 2 tickets or one ticket bundle per transaction.
- There are assigned seats, which you will get once you receive your ticket.
- Purchases via Damai are not refundable.
- There is no VIP program this year.
For those outside China, ticket sales begin May 23 at 9:00 a.m. EDT, with access codes needed from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. EDT. Ticket purchase is then open to all customers starting at 10:00 a.m. EDT. Those outside China can buy tickets through Universe. Other details for Universe purchase are:
- Each code can be used for 1 transaction
- Ticket purchases are limited to 5 per ticket bundle.
- There will be assigned seats, which you will get once you receive your ticket.
- Refunds will be available until 60 days before the event.
- There is no VIP program this year.
- Will Call for all orders outside of China will be available for pick up at the Will Call stations on the plaza on the west side of Mercedes-Benz Arena.
- As a courtesy, attendees traveling to China are reminded to give yourselves plenty of time to obtain visitor visas, if needed.
