Voting for the Golden Joystick Awards has started, so players from around the world can now decide which ones should take home the awards this year. Voting ends on November 4 with winners to be revealed in a virtual celebration on November 22. The all-digital awards show will be broadcast on all major streaming platforms.
Here are some of the highlights:
- More than 70 games are represented in 18 categories.
- Elden Ring is leading the nominations this year with four that include:
- Best Multiplayer Game
- Best Visual Design
- PlayStation Game of the Year
- Studio of the Year (for developer FromSoftware Inc.)
- Horizon Forbidden West, Splatoon 3, Final Fantasy XIV, and Teardown all have multiple nominations.
- There are indie games featured like:
- IMMORTALITY
- Cult of the Lamb
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge
- Neon White
- Teardown
- This year’s awards feature two new categories:
- Best Early Access Launch
- Best Game Trailer
