In Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 episode 16, which airs at 8 p.m. ET Thursday on ABC, Meredith and Eric Thorpe will have to deal with some missteps as they attempt to take their relationship to the next level.
Thorpe has pursued Meredith for several episodes and she finally agreed to a date in episode 15 .
In an episode 16 promo, Thorpe urges Meredith to let him spend the night after their third date; however, things quickly go sour and Meredith kicks him out. Maggie is at the door questioning Thorpe on what he did wrong.
Will this budding relationship survive? We will find out in the upcoming episode, “When It Hurts So Bad,” which is best viewed on television or live online through ABC Live .
Maggie has relationship trouble of her own, as there is a chance Andrew wants to break up. The relationship was slow to start because of Maggie’s hesitation to date an intern, but eventually they took their relationship public. However, Andrew now feels uncomfortable that his intern colleagues may think he’s getting special attention for being with an attending.
An episode 16 sneak peek shows Maggie asking Andrew whether he wants to continue their relationship. We will find out his answer Thursday.
Meanwhile, Jackson and April are at odds after Jackson finds out about her pregnancy. His mother, Catherine Avery, will be in town to mediate between the two parents-to-be.
Amelia is uncertain about her relationship with Owen after she discovered him drunk in his trailer in the previous episode. As Amelia also struggles with substance abuse, maintaining a relationship with the closed-off Owen may be difficult.
