Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 episode 9, which airs Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC, is chalk full of bombshells, according to the episode promo. Amid the doctors working on patients who were victims of an apartment building collapse, many will face issues in their personal and professional lives.
Alex will finally face his trial to attacking an intern, Dr. Andrew Deluca. He is charged with felony assault in the second degree and could face substantial jail time if convicted.
The altercation between Alex and Deluca took place at the end of Season 12. Alex’s girlfriend Jo, declined his marriage proposal after avoiding the question for most of the season. After getting drunk at a local bar, Jo’s friend left her in Deluca who helped she home. She confessed to Deluca that she couldn’t marry Alex because she was married to someone else, an abusive spouse from whom she’d run away. She also admitted Jo wasn’t her real name.
Alex walked in on Deluca attempting to help Jo into bed to sleep off her drunkenness, but he thought Deluca was taking advantage of her. This is when Alex attacked Deluca. He was severally injured, but has luckily made a full recovery and is working again
Jo may have to testify against Alex in the case. In episode 9, she will finally admit to him that she is already married.
What will happen with Alex learns the truth about Jo? We will find out during Grey's Anatomy Season 13 episode 9, "You Haven't Done Nothin" which is best viewed on television or live online through ABC Live.
