Episode 17 ended with Allison and Elliot coming to Aria’s house to ask if she will marry them. She is recently ordained and just married her parents a few hours prior. Aria refuses at first, but Allison and Elliot insist they must get married right away. Meanwhile, Hanna calls her fiancé, Jordan, and suggests May 17 as their wedding date.
Not all of the liars are preoccupied with pre-marital bliss. Uber A once again targets Emily, as she goes to investigate the diner where Melissa went the night she came back to Rosewood. Someone in a large truck attempts to run Emily over, leading her to discover part of the handle from Melissa’s broken suitcase, possibly the weapon used to kill Charlotte. Emily tells Hanna what happened, and that she believes the person tried to kill her because she found the handle.
As Election Day rolls closer, Spencer’s mother Veronica Hastings confesses her history of cancer to her potential voters for Senate, reassuring them that her health will not affect the campaign. Previously, Spencer discovered that her mother’s opponent, Kristine Phillips, knew about her cancer diagnosis and planned to leak the information.
Later, Veronica discovers that the Phillips camp believes the Hastings camp uncovered i her daughter Yvonne’s unplanned pregnancy and planned to leak that information to the press. Somehow, that information was traced back to Spencer, but Caleb takes the fall for it, knowing it was likely Uber A setting up Spencer. Veronica fires Caleb from her campaign and throws him out of her house, where he’d been staying since he and Spencer began dating.
Aria then confesses to Ezra that she was writing parts of his book and passing it to her publisher boss in his absence. Ezra isn’t angry, and suggests that they submit his work in addition to hers.
In episode 18, Emily is shaken after being attacked, but attempts to figure out who was driving the truck. Emily has reason to believe that Mona may somehow be involved. The liars decide they should continue to keep quiet about the resurgence of a new A-like stalker and not go to the police.
Meanwhile, Toby learns about the Yvonne Phillips leak and punches Caleb , thinking it was him who orchestrated the plan.
The episode concludes with the liars all having a party, likely a bridal shower for Hanna, when things quickly go wrong. The power goes out and there is an explosion of fire, which catches Aria. At this point, we don’t know if she is okay.
