Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is set to introduce a PvE feature soon. This means players can now duel against Dark Wizards and villains. This feature is called “Adversaries.” It’s a new type of encounter where players get to battle against a chain of increasingly challenging wizards.
To make encounters much more exciting, those who managed to make their way to the final opponent will face many well-known villains in the Harry Potter series. These include the likes of Bellatrix Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, and Fenrir Greyback. They can even go against the Basilisk.
How it Works
So, how Adversaries actually work? First, an icon for the feature will appear on the map. It’s inspired by none other than the Dark Mark. As mentioned, it’s composed of a chain of battles. But players will regain health after beating an opponent. If you lose at any point or choose to exit the fight, you'll break the chain and must start over.
Each time a player beats an opponent, they get incremental rewards. It ends in a large cluster of rewards after defeating the final Adversary. Rewards include Wizarding XP, Challenge XP, and even a chance at Defense Against the Dark Arts Books. That’s not all. Adversaries and their attendants will drop Fragments of Adversary Objects once defeated.
Two Classes
Adversaries will come in two classes. The first is Feared Adversaries and they occur randomly on the map. These Adversaries include wizards like Draco Malfoy and Peter Pettigrew. To reach the final opponent, players only need to beat fewer and less difficult enemies.
The second is Lethal Adversaries. These Adversaries include Bellatrix Lestrange and even Dolores Umbridge. To get to the final wizards, players need to go through a greater number of opponents and more challenging enemies. Unlike Feared Adversaries, the Lethals are only available during special events.
Preparing for Adversaries
To meet the challenge offered by Adversaries, players must be at least Level 15. They also need to invest enough in the Combat Profession. The profession is important in fights. Also, players should stock up different potions like Healing Potions, Exstimulo Potions, and Wit-Sharpening Potions.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to duel?
