Chapter 3 of Conan Exiles is now live. This chapter expands the game’s open world and serves as the concluding chapter for Age of Sorcery. Get to finally face the one responsible for spreading sorcery through a new boss encounter. There’s also a new feature where players get to shape their own custom golems and explore a fully redesigned Journey System.
Ritual and Sacrifice
In this new chapter, players are introduced to the Mek-kamoses Spire, which can be seen from a great distance. It is here where players get to speak to the sorcerer himself and help him in stopping the calamitous ritual being performed by Kurak. For this new adventure, players will go face to face with Kurak in a new encounter deciding the fate of Exiled Lands.
Golem Shaping
One feature everyone can look forward to is the Golem Shaping feature. This feature allows players to craft and collect different golem parts and assemble them into powerful constructs. These can be used to help players in battle or assist them in harvesting resources. Resources for crafting the golems are obtainable by beating new monsters.
The Journey System
In a post, the development team revealed that they’ve long wanted to improve the game’s early experience, particularly easy to learn but not at the expense of players' freedom.
With the redesign to the Journey System, veterans now have something new to explore. This redesigned system is very helpful for returning players since it acts as a guide to the many in-game features.
Journeys are going to be represented by a card which comes with a series of tasks. Most journeys have a prerequisite of some sort to start it. After that, players can choose and progress through the tasks.
Additional New Content
With each new chapter introduced in the game, expect new cosmetics. For Chapter 3, the choices for architectural styles have been augmented with the expanded Turanian building set. According to the team, they’re rather excited about the new secret passages which should give players creative ways to construct those hidden nooks and chambers in their buildings.
In addition to the new chapter, there's also a new patch which introduces fixes.
Conan Exiles is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
