Developer and publisher Paradox Interactive announced that an Expansion Pass is going to be available for Age of Wonders 4 which introduces two content packs and two full expansions at a bundled discount. In addition to the Standard Edition, players can also look forward to the Premium Edition that comes with additional in-game cosmetic options.
Pre-orders are now open for Standard Edition priced at $49.99 and Premium Edition at $89.99. Those who pre-order can get the ruler and armor set called Aric Rex, a Tigran High King, and his Lion Plate armor which includes the Imperial Cape and Athlan Crown.
Going back to the Expansion Pass, here's what players can expect:
- Archmage Attire
- The Wizards of Magehaven have long been known as people who dress to impress since it represents their grand personalities and ambitions.
- This outfit pack unlocks a new set of clothing that players can wear as a whole or have it mixed and matched with other in-game items.
- The Archmage Attire pack is available immediately for all Premium Edition players at game launch.
- Dragon Dawn
- Embrace the power of the Ancient Dragon Lords.
- From the Dragon Throne, forge empires inhabited by reptilian minions and use draconic magic to evolve the people into dragon hybrids.
- This content pack launches in the third quarter of this year and comes with:
- New Dragon Ruler type
- New Reptilian Form
- New Tomes of Magic
- Empires and Ashes
- The empires of mortals resurge after the devastation brought forth by the Wizard Kings.
- For the Empires and Ashes expansion, players can combine magic and steel to release devastating war machines and drive the Godir back into the Astral Sea.
- This full expansion is coming out in the fourth quarter of 2023 and includes:
- New Culture
- New Tomes of Magic
- New Empire Building options
- New Story Realm
- Primal Fury
- Be ready to channel Nature’s Spirits with the Primal Fury content pack.
- Create races using new beastly forms and a primeval culture.
- The new Tomes of Magic allow players to tap nature’s hidden powers and the Fey realms.
- Primal Fury comes out in the first quarter of 2024 to let players see their surroundings with new forms of wildlife, creatures, and bountiful resources.
- Eldritch Realms
- The Eldritch Realms expansion opens portals to realms filled with arcane marvels and unspeakable horrors.
- New forces threaten the rule of the Godir of Magehaven.
- Prepare for new strange monsters, new racial forms, magical realms, and locations.
- This full expansion launches in the second quarter of 2024.
