Developer Obsidian Entertainment opened pre-orders for Avowed. The upcoming title has a February 2025 launch window.
Avowed will be available to play on Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will be available for purchase via various digital storefronts. The standard edition will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
Avowed Pre-Orders
The Standard Edition of the game is expected to cost $69.99. The Digital Premium Edition will be priced at $89.99 and includes the base game, up to five days of early access, two premium skin packs, and gives players access to a digital art book and soundtrack.
The Premium Edition SteelBook will cost $94.99 and includes a base game digital code, all of the content of the Digital Premium Edition, an Avowed SteelBook, and a map of the Living Lands.
If you buy the Standard Edition of Avowed or are playing it with Xbox Game Pass but later want to get the Premium Edition, you can simply upgrade for a price of $24.99. You will still get all of the digital extra content along with the early access period, according to Gematsu.
The Premium Edition is particularly noteworthy because of the inclusion of the digital art book and soundtrack. This is what fans will be able to use to dive deeper into the world of the game as they feature behind-the-scenes artwork and music by composer Venus Theory.
This bonus content will also be a great addition for players who love the Pillars of Eternity franchise. Newcomers who are looking to have a chance at fully immersing themselves in the game's lore and soundscapes of the Living Lands can also take advantage of them.
A New Fantasy World
Avowed is set to arrive on Feb. 18, 2025, and takes players to a never-before-seen region from the world of Eora. In the game, players are the emperor's envoy and tasked with dealing with a devastating plague that has ravaged the Living Lands, Blizzard said.
You must journey with your companions to uncover the hidden truths of the world while navigating various challenges. In Avowed, every choice you make will inevitably shape the fate of the world and its people.
Xbox lead Phil Spencer talked about the what led to the delay of Avowed to February next year. He noted that Xbox right now has the benefit of a packed holiday season with many noteworthy franchises, according to Game Spot.
