There are a ton of equipment that players can buy, loot, or craft in Baldur's Gate 3 but weapons are arguably the most important to let you defeat your enemies.
Figuring out which weapons you should be using on your characters can spell the difference between victory and defeat in an engagement. There are different types and tiers of weapons available in the game.
Some of the most powerful of these are Legendary weapons that provide amazing damage potential and other benefits. This guide lists five of the strongest weapons in Baldur's Gate 3 and how you can get them for your characters.
Duellist's Prerogative
This Legendary rapier boasts solid stats and is the only weapon that a character with the dueling fighting style should use in the endgame.
The main benefit of this weapon is providing you with one more reaction per turn. It can be acquired as a reward by completing the Save Varna quest.
It also comes with a free challenge to duel spell, which is a stronger version of the Compelled Duel spell. The Duellist's Prerogative also adds a special maneuver that gives you an additional attack as a bonus action, according to The Gamer.
Balduran's Giantslayer
The Balduran's Giantslayer is a Legendary greatsword that is highly useful against bigger enemies. The first bonus is giving you an advantage on all attacks against applicable enemies to double your damage bonus.
This weapon also has a unique attack that can knock your enemies prone. The Balduran's Giantslayer can be found as a drop from Ansur in the Dragon's Sanctum.
Sorrow Glaive
This particular weapon is very useful as it compensates for characters who have lower defensive stats. This makes it a solid option for mages and other frail character classes. It has an extended reach and grants the Ensnaring Strike ability.
It also has an extra point of slashing damage. This ensures you deal a minimum of two damage per hit. You can get the Sorrow Glaive as a reward for completing the Save the Refugees quest, CBR said.
Sussur Greatsword
The Sussur Greatsword is a powerful early-game weapon that is amazing to use against magic-based enemies. This is because of the weapon's Silence trait that nullifies an enemy's ability to cast spells for a period of time.
Being able to stop an enemy spellcaster from using their devastating attacks can sometimes feel a bit overpowered with this weapon. You can get the Sussur Greatsword by crafting it after completing the Finish the Masterwork Weapon quest.
Gontr Mael
This powerful longbow is one of the strongest weapons in Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3 that provides a variety of bonuses.
The Gontr Mael has a Weapon Enchantment of +3 that makes it deal more damage. You can get it from the Steel Watcher Titan in the Control Center of the Steel Watch Foundry.
You will also get an advantage against enemies who have had Guiding Light applied to them. It can also frighten targets to deal extra Radiant damage.
The major benefit of this weapon is giving you access to the Celestial Haste spell that gives Haste for five rounds, according to Game Rant.
