Season One of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific is now live. There are tons of new content introduced here, including a new map, new mechanics, and new vehicles. The Ricochet anti-cheat is now available, though limited to only one region at the moment. Read on to find out more.
New Map: Caldera
There is a new battle royale map called Caldera in Warzone. It consists of 15 huge areas and 100 lesser points of interest.
You can explore the new regions, like the Naval Arsenal located in the northwestern area. It gives you multiple tactical positions and has a cluster of large buildings, including the admin structure, commander center, and barracks compound.
You can also expect a new Gulag found deep within the mines of Caldera. Created by the developers at High Moon Studios, the team mainly focused on providing you with a good experience. Squads taken out at once may utilize a new spectator view as well.
Ricochet Anti-Cheat
Cheaters are rampant in first-person shooters, like Call of Duty. That said, the new Ricochet anti-cheat system is deployed, but only for players in the Asia-Pacific region.
The developers said that this is for collecting feedback, monitoring its stability, and making the necessary updates before it’s made available to all regions. You can learn more here.
New Content
As mentioned earlier, there are many new things in Season One that are brought to you by the latest entry in the franchise, Call of Duty: Vanguard. You can expect over 40 new weapons, over a dozen new Operators, and new Calling Cards, Prestige, Emblems, among other things.
New vehicles like the Fighter Plane allow you to fly high and rain destruction down on your foes. Plus, you can support your squad by using Sonar that pings the location of legendary crates and helps find enemies.
Aside from the things mentioned, there are new mechanics that you must know. For example, when you are in knee-deep water, you won't be able to lie prone.
