Developer Raven Software brings more balancing changes to Call of Duty: Warzone by nerfing two additional Season 4 weapons: the C58 assault rifle and the Nail Gun.
In the latest patch, the C58 now has a higher recoil to make it a bit harder for players to control the gun while firing.
The developers have noticed that C58 has quickly become one of the strongest assault rifles in the game, which prompted the nerf. Also, the Fara 83 assault rifle has its recoil slightly increased.
In a previous update, the devs have nerfed the MG 82 light machine gun as it proved to be quite strong in most scenarios. They also expressed their intention of making certain adjustments to the Nail Gun.
True to their word, the Nail Gun got a nerf to its effectiveness at long distances as the weapon’s maximum damage range is decreased by 39%. Now, players would have to be closer to targets to score kills in one or two shots.
Adjustments to Weapon Attachments
Some weapon attachments have their vertical and horizontal recoil control decreased a bit.
According to the developer notes, they want players to improve their game by learning how to use their chosen weapons.
That said, the change to recoil control is much-needed because if weapons become too effective and easy to control, players might get disinterested since there is no mastery or experience required.
The developers added that while these changes may still make some weapons incredibly effective, they will continuously monitor them in order to strike a balance between the pros and cons.
