For those who love classic video games, head to Steam and check out Chronomaster. It was released February 3 and is being offered at 35% off until February 11.
Let’s talk about the game's story first. It tells the story of Rene Korda, a renowned designer of “pocket universes” who has since retired. These pocket universes are self-contained worlds made according to the preference of the person who paid for their construction. It seems that two such pocket universes have entered a state known as “temporal stasis." Korda has been hired to restore them to normal and discover who caused the situation.
Chronomaster was first released way back in 1995. Back then, it was a treat not just for gamers but also for sci-fi fans. The main plot was written by none other than Roger Zelazny. It was also considered as one of his last works since he died while the game was still in development. Developer DreamForge had to bring in new people and made sure to follow the original vision of Zelazny.
Features on this newly released version include:
- Boundless gameplay as players can move freely from screen to screen within Pocket Universes in any order they choose.
- An original storyline from sci-fi authors Roger Zelazny and Jane Lindskold offers exciting elements blending science fiction and fantasy.
- Striking, highly detailed, and fully rendered 3D artwork with full-motion animation.
- Intuitive interface helps players move quickly through game sequences.
