Clash Of Clans is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and to honor the occasion, Supercell has introduced a new limited-time troop into the game. Bash and slash your way to victory with the Battle Ram.
Here’s the official description of the Battle Ram that can be found in-game:
Four Barbarians holding a big log race to batter down their target, dealing big bonus damage if they connect; then they fight on with their swords!
- Damage: 330
- Hitpoints: 258
- Training Cost: 250 elixir
- Spawned Units: Four
- Training Time: 30 seconds
- Favorite Target: Any
- Damage Type: Single Target
- Targets: Ground
- Housing Space: Five
- Movement Speed: 32
In addition to this brand new troop, players will also be able to earn a 250-gem reward for Clashiversary participation, as well as one-gem resource boosts for the next handful of days. Simply put, Clash Of Clans is going to be full of loot for a short time, and players will be able to make some pretty sweet upgrades with their new stash of currency.
While that troop has been added to the game, one suspicious removal from the roster is the Builder. Supercell has posted a quick teaser to ask fans about where the iconic character may be headed, but for now he’s nowhere to be found. Thankfully, this doesn’t really impact the gameplay experience. Instead of the Builder putting up buildings, your trusty Barbarian can step in to fill the void.
We’re guessing the introduction of the Master Builder in recent Clash Of Clans updates has ultimately made the standard Builder feel a bit depressed about his work. If that’s the case, what might he return with to augment his skills? If leaks are any indication, this departure could be a nice segue into the Builder Hut Customization event. It essentially offers increased rewards for letting other troops take over the Builder’s duties.
It’s worth noting that the leaks in question correctly predicted the Battle Ram and have also listed Shrink Traps, Anti-Traps and free troop training as possible additions to the game throughout the event’s duration. Considering the Battle Ram is also limited to just one week of play time, we’d have to imagine these other rewards will be temporary as well.
With regard to how that Battle Ram should be used, it’s a bit hard to say since the troop has only been live for a few hours. As it stands right now, many players have been taking advantage of the Ram in place of the standard Barbarian. Be forewarned before trying this, though. All Barbarians spawned with the Ram are at level 1. That means their slashing ability probably isn’t as good as it could be. The benefit of taking town buildings with one big push is a cool idea nonetheless.
Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS. The Clashiversary event is expected to continue until Aug. 9.
