Starting next week, The CW is expanding its reach. Watch DC TV shows like The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl on Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, XBox, Amazon Fire TV for free. According to the network, “every show on The CW will be available.” The CW App may quite literally be the only place to stream CW shows since network will reportedly no longer offer next-day on-demand access to its shows on Hulu and it's a hassle to legally watch The CW live without cable. Instead of Hulu, CW shows will be available on Netflix just a few days after seasons end.

The updated CW App description reveals the latest episodes of every primetime show will be available on demand and there’s no cable login necessary. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help fans currently looking for a place to stream The Flash Season 2, Arrow Season 4, or the first season of Legends of Tomorrow. Supergirl Season 1 released on Netflix a few weeks ago, hopefully other DC TV shows will follow in the coming weeks.
It also may not help fans hoping to watch overseas who have been greeted with a ‘content unavailable’ message when trying to access the app. The CW app isn’t available on PlayStation either.
At the moment, The CW only allows viewers access to a small selection of episodes for free. We can only hope The CW makes the previous seasons of each show and the entire season of upcoming shows available to stream with the updated app.
