The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 is just a few months away from release and developer CD Projekt Red is doing its best in building the hype. The studio recently confirmed the date for the next Night City Wire event, which takes place on September 18.
The fan-favorite developer took to Twitter to announce the event's date along with its 12:00 PM EST start time. The tweet also includes a short six second clip, giving fans an idea as to what they can expect in the next Night City Wire event. It seems the event will have a central focus on numerous gangs of Night City.
Previous Night City Wire events have given us an in-depth look at the lifepaths system and a variety of weapons and tech that players can use. However, the upcoming event will give us details on how several gangs work in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
The variety in gangs could surely add to the RPG element of Cyberpunk 2077. Being loyal to one gang can make other gangs hostile, or being a lone wolf can turn all gangs into enemies. But, all of that is just speculation and I am sure that CD Projekt Red will make gangs function much more intricately.
Besides the Night City Wire events, Cyberpunk 2077 has also confirmed additional details about the game via social media. We now know that the game will feature free DLC and it won't have microtransactions. However, the studio also confirmed that it is currently working on a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer game which will have microtransactions. The multiplayer game will not release until 2022. The developer also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077's single-player post-launch content will also be revealed in October.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on November 19 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The game is also being developed for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
