Disco Elysium isn’t exactly a high demanding game, as the system requirements for the game are quite forgiving. You don’t even need a dedicated GPU if you want to play the game. Disco Elysium will run on most low-end PCs or laptops. However, that wasn't enough for the developers. It looks like they have vowed to make Disco Elysium the most optimized game ever.
The devs at ZA/UM recently released a patch that drastically reduces the minimum system requirement for Disco Elysium. Now you only need 2GB of RAM and a Core 2 Duo CPU if you want to enjoy the game. Elysium will also run on decades-old Mac hardware.
That’s not all. ZA/UM also talked about how they want to optimize the game even more. “We're determined to take it further too. We're going to try to keep optimizing so low that we break through the crust on the other side of the planet.” the developers said in a post. “Show us your scrapheap calculators and rusty adding machines and we'll give it a go. Disco Elysium for all!”
New Minimum System Requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8/10
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2GB RAM
Graphics: Integrated or dedicated card, with minimum 512MB memory
DirectX: Version 11
The latest update not only optimized Disco Elysium, it also included several bug fixes. Additionally, the patch fixed a couple of spelling errors. You can read the complete patch notes below or on the official site.
