Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 finally has a release date. According to Bandai Namco, the sequel to the successful 2014 game will be released this winter in Japan, on Oct. 25 .
Along with the release date, a new trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 reveals some of the story elements while showing off new characters and features, including your custom character getting the Super Saiyan 3 transformation.

If you recognize the music in the trailer, DJ Steve Aoki has contributed his musical talents to the Xenoverse 2 game.
"Having grown up with Dragon Ball , I jumped at the chance to contribute my talents and leave my personal impact on the series.” said Steve Aoki, Grammy nominated DJ and Producer in a press release.
As for the story of Xenoverse 2, it seems our main antagonists will recruit famous Dragon Ball villains to do some of their dirty work for them, instead of just altering history. Bringing the villains for the time-traveling ride to change battles and turn them in favor of the villains.
The new Xenoverse 2 trailer reveals missions where your character will infiltrate Frieza’s army (previously announced in Jump ). The trailer also offers a closer look at the new town revealed during E3, as well as the ability to fly and use vehicles in this town.
The final seconds of the new trailer actually shows your character transforming into Super Saiyan 3 and performing a Kamehameha.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release on Oct. 25 for PS4 and Xbox One, with PC/Steam available Oct. 28.
