The much-awaited Chapter: High Isle for The Elder Scrolls Online is now available on PC and Mac. This chapter provides players with new story missions, improvements, and activities, among many others.
New Content
In High Isle, players will be able to explore the Systres Archipelago, a continent in southwest Tamriel. Here, players will dive headfirst into a tale of political intrigue and strife between the Bretons and the Ascendant Order. This expansion has 30 hours of unique story content, so it is definitely worth getting for fans of The Elder Scrolls Online.
Aside from the new story missions, the High Isle introduces two new companions and a 12-player trial called Dreadsail Reef. There’s a new card game system called Tales of Tribute as well.
Players who are interested in getting the new chapter will have four editions to choose from, namely:
- The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle
- The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: High Isle Collector’s Edition
- The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Upgrade
- The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Upgrade Collector’s Edition
For those who do not know which one to choose, listen up! Players who do not have the base game should buy either the High Isle or the High Isle Collector’s Edition. That’s because both contain the base game, the new chapter, and all of the previous chapters.
Players who already own the base game and all of the previous chapters can purchase any of the upgrade versions instead.
The Collector’s Edition gives plenty of unique in-game items, including a pet, mount, and outfit style.
New Update
Players who are not going to buy the new chapter are not left out. The developers also launched a free patch available for everyone.
Update 34 brings a lot of quality-of-life improvements. The Armory System now allows players to add specific Mundus Stones to their gear. This is great, especially for those who want to select different boons for individual builds.
In addition, this free update introduces an improved Quick Select Wheel. It is now possible to place items within the primary or secondary wheels. This feature lets players focus on combat items upfront, while having quick access to other things, such as emotes, tools, and mementos.
Other notable improvements in Update 34 include Spanish localization and support for AMD FSR (PC only).
The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle is currently available on PC and Mac. The new chapter will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on June 21.
