Elder Scrolls Online released the Harrowstorm DLC game pack along with Update 25. This adds a collection of new challenges, adventures, and rewards. There are also the usual improvements to the game.
Harrowstorm DLC
Harrowstorm offers two new dungeons. The first is Icereach, which begins with a supernatural storm on the northern coast of Skyrim threatening the longboats and livelihood of the locals. Players need to go to Icereach where the storm appears to have started. Once they reach the islands, players meet the first lost expedition and fight witches of the Icereach Coven in order to stop a terrible ritual.
The second is Unhallowed Grave, which is buried under the sands of Bangkorai. However, a group of Necromancers and monsters appear to have looted the tomb for some unknown purpose. Players need to go to this dungeon and take out the mercenaries. Along the way, players can discover the reason for the mercenaries being in the tomb,
For both these new dungeons, players can choose either Normal or Veteran difficulties. Both dungeons offer new rewards like Achievements, collectibles, and item sets, among others.
The Harrowstorm DLC game pack is free for all Elder Scrolls Online Plus members and can be bought for 1,500 crowns from the in-game Crown Store. There is also the Harrowstorm Collector’s Bundle available for 4,000 crowns. The bundle includes:
- DLC game pack
- Hallin's Jackal Pet
- Pyre Watch Jackal Mount
- five Crown Experience Scrolls.
Update 25
For those who enjoy fighting against other players in Cyrodiil, the update offers new rewards for PvP players. These are the Knight of the Circle Armor and Weapon Outfit Styles.
The biggest change with Update 25 is the Patching Overhaul. It completely changes how the game is downloaded, patched, and even stored on the local hard drivers. This means that players need to re-download the game client. However, once complete, players are going to see improvements to load times with the hard drive space requirement are lowered.
There are also other updates that came with the patch, like improvements to frame rates, the loading of textures, and characters.
