Sending out a friend request on Facebook is an easy task. That is, until you realize that someone is not responding to the request and you can’t figure out whether they hate you, forgot, or they just aren’t active users. If you are stuck in limbo wondering or simply want to know the people who have rejected your friend request, a neat trick can reveal it all.
The traditional method is to look at your pending requests to see who has not accepted your request. But this tactic does not allow you to differentiate between those who have viewed your request and those who haven’t and more importantly, it does not inform you who has declined to add you back. (For those with a foggy memory, this can be especially embarassing.)
To find out who has quietly declined your friendship, simply sign in to your Facebook account using a browser on a desktop, reports Business Insider. By tapping the “Friend Request” icon on the top right corner of the banner, a drop-down menu will appear. Underneath it all, there is a “View All” button which takes you to a new page. There, select “View Sent Requests” to see which requests were sent and ignored.
Mobile users can do the same thing by selecting the “Requests” icon and then clicking on the “+” icon on the upper right hand side. The top banner will have different items like “Suggestions” and “Contacts.” Selecting “Outgoing” will show pending friend requests and allows the user to undo a request.
