FACEIT announced that it’s going to launch a new CS:GO program for players located in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Dubbed as the GoBIG League, this region-exclusive program hopes to give the community a unique and new competitive experience. With this, FACEIT is giving everyone the chance to be part of a level-based hub environment and be able to play with like-minded players in a closed, as well as fully moderated, environment. The highest tier of the competition is going to be directly connected to the EU FPL circuit.
The program itself is set to feature four in-house leagues built on FACEIT hubs. Here, players from four different skill levels get to play in monthly competitions. The Hubs have been structured in a way that players from all skill levels get the chance to not only improve, but also win prizes. These include players from the grassroots all the way to semi-professional and even professional levels.
It’s not all players, as partners of the GoBIG League stand to benefit from the different promotional activities of the league. These are going to be supported by the brand and reach of BIG as well as the players. In addition, the league’s consistent growth is going to be guaranteed by multiple streamers, professional players, and even influencer who are going to be taking part in the league and promoting it.
How the new league works is that for each month, through the top league of the BIG program, the top eight players are going to have the chance to play into the qualifier for the FPL Challenger. BIG fans also get the chance to join and plays in the BIG Clan. This is a new feature from FACEIT in the closed beta that should make it easy to be able to find other players within the same community to play in the matchmaking system.
In a press statement, FACEIT Partnerships Manager Cristian Duca said that the partnership is a good “example of how brands and esports organizations can leverage the FACEIT platform tools to connect and engage more with players and fans by providing unique and fresh propositions based on play.” As an organization, BIG has been successful when it comes to the CS:GO ecosystem and Duca added that they are “looking forward to working on this project together, fully aligned on bringing to the community something new and special.”
Meanwhile BIG Head of Partnerships Christian Chmiel revealed that part of company’s mission since the start was to help in nurturing future talent. Chmiel said further that they hope that through the league, they can “encourage proper and sustainable competition by investing in the platform and regularly giving away valuable incentives and prizes.”
