The Locked & Loaded Update for Fallout 76 is finally here. In addition to a new season, there’s a new Scoreboard and new rewards. Players can also expect new C.A.M.P. Slots features and even S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts. Today, we’ll take a quick look into what the new season has to offer and know a little bit more about S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts.
New Season
The new update launches Season 4 and brings with it a new Scoreboard. For this new season, players get to join the Armor Ace and the Power Patrol in their quest to put an end to Commissioner Chaos and the Yukon Five.
Other details of the new season include:
- Rank Up!
- The new Scoreboard offers 100 ranks for players to achieve as they rank up.
- New Rewards
- A lot of new rewards can be unlocked as players rank up. These include, among others, Power Armor paints, Weapon Skins, Outfits, themed cosmetics, C.A.M.P. items, in-game currencies, consumables, and Perk Card Packs.
- The rewards from the prior season have been added and can now be bought using Gold Bullion. It includes the Antique Speed Bag and Perfect Bubblegum and all the way to Mortimer in The Crater and Samuel in Foundation.
- Several bonus rewards have been added for Fallout 1st members to claim at certain rank milestones. This is in addition to the normal rewards offered at those ranks.
- Mannequins
- The new season introduces Mannequins.
- These are Display Cases that players can use to display some of their favorite outfits, headwear, underarmor, and backpacks collected.
- Players can claim a set of male and female Mannequins for their C.A.M.P. when they Rank 25 on the Season 4 Scoreboard.
- A maximum of five Mannequins can be built in each of the players’ C.A.M.P.s and shelters at once.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts give players more adaptability when it comes to how their characters face threats. This feature allows them to modify or even completely reboot their S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes for free. Here’s how this goes:
- Players can visit a “Punch Card Machine” at any time to adjust their S.P.E.C.I.A.L., change their Perk Card selections, and save their new custom setup into a slot.
- Characters get access to S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts starting at level 25.
- Currently, each character can have as many as two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadout slots and can swap between them using a Punch Card Machine.
- Players can also rename their Loadout slots to quickly tell them apart.
- At level 25, players can learn the plan to build a Punch Card Machine in their C.A.M.P.
- This should let them change their Loadouts whenever they head home.
- While in the C.A.M.P, players just need to open the Build menu, navigate to the Crafting tab, select the Punch Card Machine, and place it down.
- There are also Punch Card Machines placed at Train Stations across Appalachia, in The Crater, and at Foundation.
- Players can use any Punch Card Machines that they find in other players’ C.A.M.P.s.
- The “Move-a-Point” option on the level-up screen has been removed since S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts allow players to change their stats that much more easily.
