A fun video game experience is defined by balance and fairness. In Fallout 76, one of the problems has been the presence of illegal attachment combinations that violate the game’s EULA. Fortunately, there’s something being done to make sure that all players are using and trading the same items with the same advantages.
In a PTS update that just went live, the development team revealed that they’re working on a system where illegal mods attached to weapons will be removed. These mods are considered illegal because they can’t be obtained in-game.
Players who don’t have these mods won’t notice any change to their existing weapons once the system is officially in use. However, those using mods will find that their weapon damage decreased and without such mods. The team went on to say that when this happens, there’s no need to report to PTS Bug Reports. However, if anything unusual is observed unrelated to this change, then it’s important to report it.
What do you think? Is this a good move by the development team?
Time for Axe–ion
Be ready to spin up that Auto-Axe and complete unique challenges to unlock rewards in the Call to Axe-ion Event. This event starts November 15 with players able to claim the Redd-Upper Auto-Axe skin free at the Atomic Shop. The goal is to complete Daily and Weekly Challenges with the Redd-Upper Auto-Axe skin applied and earn rewards and unlock the Fanatic Stalker Outfit. Players can complete these challenges in Appalachia or inside an Expedition. The event ends November 28.
Weekend Event
While waiting for the "Axe-ion," there are some exciting activities happening this weekend. From November 10 to November 14, players get to Double XP and Double SCORE when they play in any game mode. In addition, it's also a good time to visit Purveyor Murmrgh at The Rusty Pick since she’s offering a special discount on Three-Star Legendary weapons and armor with her Mystery Pick.
Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
