Bethesda announced Fallout Shelter would be coming to PC soon. Find out more about the game release date, plus what updates are coming to the mobile game version.
E3 kicked off Sunday with epic press conferences from EA and Bethesda. Among Bethesda’s many announcements came a small but significant offering that Fallout Shelter fans are gonna love.
According to the game developer Fallout Shelter is getting a couple of significant – the first of which involves bringing the post-apocalyptic city building game to PC! The company announced that the game had reached 50 million players and hopes to expand that number even further with the new PC release.
When Is Fallout Shelter PC Release Date?
While the exact date wasn’t announced, Fallout Shelter for PC is scheduled to release in mid-summer. July 2016 is the forecasted date. Keep an eye out for the PC game in the near future.
What Fallout Shelter Updates Are Coming To Mobile Users in Version 1.6 ?
Bethesda is also throwing more love in the direction of its 50 million plus iOS and Android gamers as well. The games developer announced a substantial update to the game also releasing this summer. The publishers shared during the E3 press conference Sunday that a “really big update” was coming complete with new locations dwellers can visit, new enemies to defeat and new characters for your vault. New Quests
Adding more details to what was shared at E3, Bethesda has published a blog which shares details of the new dweller quests coming in update 1.6.
“Fallout Shelter is about to get its biggest update yet,” Bethesda posted in a blog on the update. “In Update 1.6, Quests are coming to Fallout Shelter! Overseers will be able to take control of their Dwellers and travel to new locations like abandoned buildings and decrepit Vaults, or even familiar spots like Fallout 4’s Red Rocket Fuel Stop and Super Duper Mart. With this all-new Quest system, you can now assemble a group of Dwellers to take on challenges outside of the Vault, uncover legendary loot, and face off against new enemies like Radscorpions, Ghouls and powerful bosses as you traverse the Wasteland.”
New Combat System
In addition, a new combat system was announced that will allow players to have ore control over Dwellers’ actions in a fight, allowing you to “direct their attacks.”
“Select the enemy you want your Dweller to attack and even play a quick mini-game for a critical hit,” the post continued.
New Resource Packs And Instant Dweller Call Back
Some other small changes announced include new starter resource packs for purchase in the store that give players a special Dweller and other in-game resources.
Also, for those who hate waiting so long for dwellers to return to the Vault, you can now get the to return immediately if you have a Nuka-Cola Quantum to lure them. There were no details given on how you can obtain Nuka-Colas, but we suspect they can be manufactured, purchased in packs like Mr. Handy or won inside lunchboxes.
