AFC Richmond is now part of EA Sports FIFA 23. With this, fans can now take control of their favorite club through multiple game modes like Career Mode, Kickoff, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons. Players can also look forward to AFC Richmond stuff, including kits, tifos, and manager items.
That’s not the only thing that arrived in the game. Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso is now available as a selectable manager of AFC Richmond under Career Mode. Actually, fans can play him as their favorite manager for AFC Richmond and other teams of their choice.
Players can also create their own manager or select a real-world licensed manager to take control of AFC Richmond. They can create a player and join the AFC Richmond squad as well in a league of their choice.
In a statement, Jason Sudeikis revealed that while his career has had many special moments, this is one of the best. He added that as a long-time fan of the game, it’s a dream come true to have Ted Lasso and the entire AFC Richmond be part of the game. He went on to say that he’s excited for the fans to get the chance to play with, play as, and play against AFC Richmond.
Aside from what’s already mentioned, fans also get to play as AFC Richmond as part of the Rest of The World league in Kick Off, Online Friendlies and Online Seasons with Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt, Sam Obisanya, and Dani Rojas, all featuring as part of the Greyhounds’ squad. Nelson Road, the home stadium of AFC Richmond, is also featured in the game.
EA Sports FIFA VP of Brand David Jackson shared that in a short time, Ted Lasso has become a cultural phenomenon able to bring the passion of football and the power of belief to life for fans across the world. He added that they’re excited for AFC Richmond and Ted Lasso to be part of the game.
