The Flash had a hard time finding a place for Kid Flash in Season 4 and the latest rumor is Keiynan Lonsdale is heading over to Legends of Tomorrow. The change is seeming less like speculation and more of a reality as The Flash midseason premiere approaches, especially after positive statements from Legends of Tomorrow star Caity Lotz and The Flash’s Candice Patton.
On the Black Lightning premiere red carpet, we asked Patton, hypothetically, if Kid Flash were to move to Legends if he’d be in good hands. “I think he would be in great hands. He’s got a great female leader over there. He has attributes that would really help the team over there. He would do great on Legends.”
“We could use a speedster,” Lotz chimed in. When asked what qualities she’s looking for in a new teammate, Lotz added, “Jax has some pretty big shoes to fill and for me just selfishly, Jax was my little brother so I need a new little brother.”
Speculation about Kid Flash finding a home on Legends of Tomorrow started when the young speedster went on a mission with Citizen Steel in Central City earlier in the season. Then, he left Central City to go explore the world on his own and Firestorm just so happened to leave the Waverider. Coincidence?
At the TCA Winter Press tour, CW Mark Pedowitz confirmed Wally will at least show up on Legends , but told BlackGirlNerds, “You’ll have to watch,” when asked if he’ll become a permanent member. Adding credence to the theory, Flash Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim previously said Firestorm will be replaced with an established member of either The Flash, Supergirl, or Arrow .
A variety of Arrowverse actors, writers and producers suited up for the Black Lightning premiere in Washington, D.C. Killer Frost actor Danielle Panabaker was also present, so we had to ask if she’d ever drop the “Killer” in Killer Frost since she’s back on Team Flash now.
“I’m torn. I think it’s time to explore the killer of Killer Frost to see what made her killer and see if she is still killer.”
