A new update is launching to Genshin Impact this May 24. Version 3.7 is titled "Duel! The Summoners' Summit" and it introduces a new main event along with new TCG cards and a new playable four-star character.
With a lot of new content to look into, let's start with the new playable character. Kirara makes her debut in this update and is a four-star Dendro sword user. She actually works as a courier offering first-class delivery services. Being a nekomata from Inazuma, she is a master of transformation and often prefers to strike using her claws and youkai powers.
Through her elemental skill, Kirara can use her nekomata talents in two ways: create a Dendro shield with a flying kick or transform into an "Urgent Neko Parcel," allowing her to move more quickly and deal Dendro damage to opponents. When she releases her elemental burst, she bashes enemies with a special package which splits into many small Dendro bombs that deal additional Dendro damage.
The Main Event
The update introduces an international TCG tournament across Teyvat known as the "King of Invokation Grand Prix." There will be many people attending like card players and tourists, alongside a reporter for The Steambird newspaper, Charlotte. She's not just covering the tournament but also investigating a strange case. Players can join her in this event storyline and get the chance to meet characters from different nations.
At the Adventurers' Guild, there are planned events for everyone, TCG players or not. These include:
- Zero Hour Invokation
- Card players of all levels can join this unofficial tournament and duel with selected cards.
- Evermotion Mechanical Painting
- Incorporate elements of Genius Invokation TCG.
- Participants have to restore card illustrations from complex and disordered mechanics and gears.
- Heart of the Dice
- Incorporate elements of Genius Invokation TCG.
- A combat challenge where random Elemental Dice can be obtained to unleash special skills.
- A Tour of Wonders
- A good choice for those who want to be part of a sightseeing Parkour or enemies-clearing tour and collect commemorative stamps at the checkpoints to exchange for rewards.
Those able to finish the events mentioned can win Invokation Coupons to redeem rewards, including the free 4-star bow "Ibis Piercer."
New Cards
One of the big changes from this upcoming update is the addition of at least 60 new cards to Genius Invokation TCG. These feature Character Cards of all the four Archons along with a larger selection of characters, monsters, weapons, and artifacts. For more flexibility in deck building, two special TCG modes are added to serve as testing grounds:
- Arena of Champions (PvP mode)
- To get the victory, players need to win five times.
- Three losses result in starting over from the beginning.
- The Forge Realm's Temper (PvE mode)
- Players can choose the difficulty level and additional conditions to score extra points.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
