Ghost Recon Wildlands makes plenty of off-handed references to C4 in gameplay and achievements, but it’s not made totally clear how to use it. To help out with your first weekend playthrough, here’s a guide to blowing stuff up.
In Ghost Recon Wildlands, C4 is tied to the Skills system that’s accessed through your TACMAP inventory. Here are the minimum requirements to unlock the C4 Skill.
- Level 4
- 2 Skill Points
- 650 Medical Supplies
To get the latter, you’ll have to collect Intel to go on Resource Raids. Once you start a raid, the locations of various resources become marked on your map. With regard to medical supplies, you’re looking for crates with the medical symbol that are often stacked on top of one another.
If you’re curious, our friends at GamesWiki have maps for every intel pickup in the game. No matter where you are in the open world, you can get to the resources you need.
With all the requirements met, open your map’s Skill tab and select C4. Exit the map and swap out your grenades for C4 by hitting the 4 key on your keyboard or left on the D-pad. To plant C4, hit G on your keyboard or LB on a controller. To detonate, hold the placement button once you’re out of range.
That’s all there is to it. Now all you have to do is unlock those achievements or complete those troubling missions with some explosive force.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Be sure to check out our beginner’s guide and locations for the game’s best sniper and assault rifle.
