Granblue Fantasy: Versus revealed details for its upcoming post-launch DLC content. Two Character Passes are going to be released, with each one adding new characters to game, particularly those from the Granblue Fantasy series. The first Pass is going to be called Character Pass 1 and introduces four new characters.
The first character to be introduced is the mysterious hooded figure known as Chaos Bringer. He was one of the Astrals that invaded Sky Realm before being sealed in Pandemonium. However, he has since been released by Belial and continues on his quest to be a supreme being. He is joined by Avatar, the manifestation of destruction, as well as Sky Realm, Astral Realm, and Crimson Horizon.
The second is the swarmer Soriz Fightstyle. He offers a super skybound art which, when triggered, enhances his skills. This is a super move that is activated when his HP is below 30% and the charge gauge is full.
The next character to be introduced is Narmaya Fightstyle, a fighter who can switch from the Dawnfly stance to the Freeflutter one. Each stance comes with different styles, so for players this means Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a rather technical game.
Similar to Gran, the fourth character Djeeta Fightstyle comes to the game with a rather simple, yet well-rounded play style.
There's also going to be a fifth character included in the Character Pack 1, but this will be kept a secret until March.
The Second Character Pass is going to have its details revealed at a later date. Cygames did confirm that Belial is going to be introduced in this pass.
Special Bonuses
Granblue Fantasy: Versus also announced that there are going to be serial codes accessible in the game. You can't use them in Granblue Fantasy: Versus, but instead they give special bonuses to the original Granblue Fantasy game. The bonuses include:
- Finish RPG mode to receive 5,000 crystals.
- Finish RPG mode on Hard difficulty and receive the Vyrn Suit outfit for the main character.
- Those who already have this item gets instead 3,000 crystals
There are also bonuses for players who buy DLC characters in Granblue Fantasy: Versus. These bonuses are:
- Chaos Bringer
- Get one weapon not yet released in Granblue Fantasy early.
- Narmaya
- Special Narmaya outfit
- Soriz
- Special Soriz outfit
- Djeeta
- Special class outfit for the main character
Aside from these upcoming characters, 11 characters have been confirmed for the base version of Granblue Fantasy: Versus. They are:

- Ladiva

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan this month and in the U.S. on March 3. Both physical and digital versions are going to be available for $59.99. There's also going to be a physical Premium Edition priced at $79.99 while the digital Character Pass Set special edition is available for the same price. Meanwhile, a Digital Deluxe special edition can be purchased for $99.99. All of the special editions are going to be available at launch.
