Good news to fans of Gundam Evolution! The Gundam Evolution Showdown is back and it’ll begin on December 10 in the US. This is an open-bracket tournament where players compete for a large share of the $20,000 prize pool.
The first Gundam Evolution Showdown was in September to celebrate the launch of the PC version. Back then, it featured the top players and content creators.
Tournament Format
This time, the competition is open to all players who register as a team. The competition follows a double-elimination format divided between the Open Bracket Qualifiers and Tournament Finals. The Open Bracket Qualifiers start December 10 and teams compete in matches from the Winner's Bracket. Those who lose a match are placed in the Loser's Bracket. Losing again in the Loser's Bracket leads to elimination. Each match is a Bo3 with the team that wins two games declared as the winner of the match.
The top four teams then move to the Tournament Finals, which is on December 17. Here, teams play in Bo5 matches, to be streamed on the game’s official Twitch channel.

Prize Distribution
All participating teams earn 10 Supply Pods that can be used in-game. Meanwhile, the top four teams divide the prize pool in this way:
- 1st Place: $9,000
- 2nd Place: $6,000
- 3rd Place: $3,000
- 4th Place: $2,000
