Hitman 3 revealed that once the game is officially released, it’s going to offer VR support. That sounds rather exciting, wouldn’t you think? The support for PlayStation VR is going to be launched in January 2021.
However, IO Interactive is not only including Hitman 3 locations with VR support as every location in the trilogy can be enjoyed in VR. Overall, there’s going to be more than 20 locations across all three games that players can explore and experience in a whole new way. Just in case you forgot, Hitman 3 is going to allow players to “import” locations they own from the previous two games into this new one. All players need to do is simply launch locations from Hitman 3 and then play them in VR.
There’s no question that playing in VR is going to change the way Hitman is played as it’s going to offer a first-person perspective that lets players immerse themselves into the game world. Players can interact with the game world including standing face-to-face with targets or blending in a busy crowd to overhear conversations by using their hands. Just imagine this scenario: you pick up a frying pan, sneak up on a guard, and then swing it however you want in order to knock the guard out. After that, you use the frying pan again in order to deflect bullets as you make your escape. Like we said, exciting.
Hitman 3 was confirmed back in early June with an expected launch of January 2021. While VR Support is going to be released on the PlayStation, the game itself is going to be launched not only on current-gen consoles but also on the next-gen versions. That means Hitman 3 can be played on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Speaking of PlayStation, developer IO Interactive said that this newest addition to the Hitman series is going to make the most of what the PS5 has to offer. According to IO, while Hitman 2 was a good looking game, it clearly wasn’t enough. The new game is going to improve not only the graphics, but also the technical aspects.
