House of Cards Season 4 premieres in the first week of March with all new episodes releasing on Netflix. While fans know the premiere date, the premiere time is yet to be announced. And it’s likely not to be officially announced by Netflix.
Last year, Netflix announced that it would be releasing Season 3 at midnight PST, leaving those living on the East Coast waiting till 3 a.m. to get their fix. The online streaming platform also accidentally released Season 3 early, which the show explained on Twitter with a clever tweet: "This is Washington. There's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27."
Netflix opts for a PST midnight premiere for its original content, which suggests that House of Cards will follow the same trajectory. It should be noted; however, that Netflix unveiled Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black on early release by a few hours. Should House of Cards fans be so lucky, then they could be getting their eyes on the new season earlier than anticipated.
Season 4 will show Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) pitted against each other after the latter walked out on the former in Season 3.
“Frank and Claire continue their pursuit for power, battling everyone in their way, including each other,” Netflix told Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive preview.
