If you competed in the Pokémon Sun and Moon April International Challenge you were supposed to receive a download code to retrieve Mega Stones for the Hoenn Region starters: Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert.
After almost a month-long wait, The Pokémon Company finally released the link to the Global Link website that gives trainers who registered and fought in at least three battles a code to download the three Mega Stones via the Mystery Gift function in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
To get your Mega Stones for Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert you’ll need to follow the following steps:
Sign into your Pokémon Global Link account. Once you’re signed in, you need to follow this link to get to your individual download code.
Once you’ve received your account-specific code, just boot up your Pokémon Sun and Moon game and go to the MYSTERY GIFT tab. Select VIA CODE, input the code and all three Mega Stones will be sent to your game.
Trainers need to use the special download code by June 29 or they will miss out.
If you have a Mystery Gift already unclaimed in your Sun or Moon game, you’ll need to receive it before you can input the code for Swampertite, Blazikinite and Sceptilite.
After the Mega Stones are sent to the game, just visit any PokeCenter and speak to the man in the orange and blue shirt. You’ll receive all three Mega Stones and they will be put into your bag.
Trainers who missed the registration date for the April International Challenge competition, or who missed the expiration date will likely have a second chance to download the three Mega Stones once The Pokémon Company releases a shared download code, similar to how they have re-distributed online competition Mega Stones like Beedrillite and Mawillite.

Mega Stones are not used in online competitions for Pokémon Sun and Moon but they can still be used in unranked online battles. Despite Mega Evolution taking a backseat to Alola Forms and Ultra Beasts in Gen 7, Mega Pokémon are still some of the most powerful in the game.
The only Mega Stones not available in Sun and Moon, at the time of this writing, are Mega Camerupt, Mega Altaria, Mega Latios and Latias, Mega Lopunny, Mega Gallade, Mega Aggron, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Ampharos, Mega Banette and Mega Diancie.
Pokémon Sun and Moon are currently available for Nintendo 3DS.
