How To Get Away With Murder returns for its third season Sept. 22, and will follow Annalise Keating teaching her law students as she faces murder charges, according to a new promo shared by Entertainment Weekly . It appears her students will spend the season attempting to clear her name.
The new promo reveals Annalise will teach her class as a clinic, where her students will also act as full-fledged lawyers. Since she will likely be their defendant, she cannot assist them it how to solve the case.
It is not known whether this is an actual case or whether Annalise is being tried in the court of public opinion. An unknown person has been posting fliers around the law school campus, featuring photos of Annalise with the caption “killer.” Surely, part of the season will involve finding out the identity of this person and why they think she killed someone, and possibly the identity of the alleged victim.
As much drama and suspense is expected from How To Get Away With Murder , someone important to the plot may also be injured or killed, as evident from the promo, where Annalise is seen screaming in anguish at a crime scene.
The coming season will follow a whole new murder mystery and a new format, which was not seen in the previous two seasons, Executive Producer Pete Nowalk revealed in July .
How To Get Away With Murder Season 3 premieres Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
