Hyper Scape launched as a PC-only beta last month and now we have some good news for console users. The battle royale from Ubisoft will officially release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 11. The official launch of the game will also coincide with the launch of Season One: The First Principle. With the launch of Season One, the game will also bring some brand-new content and narrative components.
Ubisoft has stated that the new season will introduce a new mid-range weapon called Dragonfly and a new hack called Magnet. The Magnet hack is used to trap your enemies. Throughout the course of the season, Hyper Scape will introduce a total of 11 guns and 11 hacks. Hyper Scape also has a feature called The Vote on Events, which allows Twitch audience to choose mid-match modifiers. The game will also be getting a new Lethal Melee event, which turns all melee weapons into one-hit-kill weapons.
Hyper Scape is free to play, but you can also purchase the Battle Pass that unlocks a special tier of unlockable cosmetics. The game features free and paid tracks, each containing 100 tiers of cosmetic rewards. Once the Battle Pass has been purchased, all you need to do is play the game throughout the Season for these rewards to unlock automatically. Additionally, you can also watch Hyper Scape Twitch streams to unlock Battle Pass rewards. Hyper Scape is designed with keeping Twitch integration in mind. You can connect Hyper Scape and your Twitch account by enabling the Crowncast extension.
As a bonus, you can also earn 600 bitcrowns even before playing the game by watching Crowncast-enabled Hyper Scape Twitch streams for an hour. Alternatively, you can also play the beta for an hour to claim the reward.
