It's been a few months since The Last of Us 2 released, and in that time the game has quickly became a hit among fans despite some controversy around main protagonist. Now that fans are enjoying a second playthrough, developer Naughty Dog continues to support The Last of Us 2 by rolling out patches and fixes.
Upon the game's release, it quickly became evident that The Last of Us 2 was a remarkable game, breaking several sales records and recently boasting the highest completion percentage of all PS4 games. Despite being a technical marvel, The Last of Us 2 isn't free from bugs and experience-breaking errors.
Earlier today, Naughty Dog announced on Twitter that it will be rolling out Update 1.07 for The Last of Us 2, which is targetted at addressing minor bugs and improving the player experience. While the update itself isn't big in size compared to previous updates, it's definitely good news for fans that are currently enjoying the game. Also, a small update size means less waiting for downloading and installation.
Players have reported several bugs in The Last of Us 2 such as companion AI getting stuck and the infinite falling bug. However, it should also be noted that for a game of this scale, bugs like these are to be expected. Nevertheless, it's comforting for players to know that the developer is doing its best to optimize the game and deliver an excellent experience.
The previous update for The Last of Us 2 introduced a new Grounded difficulty, permadeath mode, and cheats. This allowed players to challenge themselves and even mess around a little bit with cheats. Additionally, the update patch also introduced new graphic filters and visual modifiers, letting players experience the game differently.
The Last of Us Part 2 is exclusively available on PS4.
