League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 4.0a is a relatively minor patch but it implements some much-needed adjustments. One of the champions that have received a number of buffs in this update is the Shadow Assassin version of Kayn.
Wild Rift developers have noticed that Shadow Assassin Kayn has been underperforming compared to his Darkin Slayer counterpart. Because of this, they have decided to buff certain aspects of Shadow Assassin Kayn to make him more impactful.
Shadow Assassin Kayn’s “The Darkin Scythe” passive now deals 32% to 46% bonus damage against enemy champions, rather than 14% to 42% previously. This is a significant damage boost that can certainly make him dangerous on the battlefield.
Additionally, the charges gained from damaging ranged champions have increased, meaning that players can change to Shadow Assassin form more quickly in Patch 4.0a.
While Kayn has received positive changes in this update, the same cannot be said for Yone. “The Unforgotten'' has been on the strong side lately and many Wild Rift players feel that he is just way too powerful to deal with.
As a result, developers reduced the effectiveness of Spirit Cleave across the board. First, the minimum damage to minions is now set at 60-200 (from 50-400). Second, the damage cap to monsters has decreased from 100-380 to 80-290. And to top it all off, the shield granted to Yone after hitting enemies with Spirit Cleave now only absorbs 30 + 70% bonus attack damage. These changes are meant to reduce Yone’s clearing potential, with his survivability taking a hit as well.

So, what can you say about the buffs for Shadow Assassin Kayn? Do you think that Yone’s recent nerfs would make him less effective now?
