Marvel Comics promised that its latest event series, Marvel Legacy , will bring the MCU back to its roots and tell a story that encompasses all of the publisher’s history. It will also bring back some fan-favorite heroes.
The first issue of Marvel Legacy releases Sept. 27 and will bring back a hero to the Marvel Universe that may surprise its readers.

In a Comicbook.com interview with Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, it was revealed that the original Wolverine will return to the land of the living in the first issue of Marvel Legacy.
"Yes, Logan is back from the dead," Alonso tells ComicBook.com. "After three years of a Logan-free Marvel Universe, Logan is back, claws popped and ready for action. How he came back, why he came back, and just how he came into possession of that Infinity Stone are part of a fascinating story that's going to unveil soon, and in some unusual places."
Yes, you read that right. Wolverine will be in possession of an Infinity Stone, which could be how he was resurrected. Of course, the details of his return will likely remain a mystery until later in the series.
Wolverine has remained dead since 2014, after the Death of Wolverine miniseries by writer Charles Soule and artist Steve McNiven. X-23 has since taken the mantle of Wolverine in the pages of All-New Wolverine. The burlier Old Man Logan has also been a part of the Marvel Comics Universe since Secret Wars in 2016. All three will likely meet during Marvel Legacy when the series starts.
