In a statement, Gearbox Entertainment Company founder Randy Pitchford revealed that for this new game, the concept and writing was all thanks to a collaboration between those who worked on the original Tales from the Borderlands and an all-Gearbox production. He added that the new storylines and characters are sure to entertain not only those who have already played and loved the Borderlands games but even those who are new to the Borderlands universe.
