Overwatch: March 15 Update Features New Championship Skin for Sombra

The latest update for Blizzard’s first-person shooter Overwatch features a new championship skin for Sombra. It also removes two maps from Quick Play and related modes.

To celebrate the Shanghai Dragons’ victory in the 2021 Overwatch League Championship, Blizzard introduces the new Zhulong skin for Sombra for the team’s remarkable achievement. This skin can be purchased for 200 Overwatch League Tokens from March 15 to March 28.

For those who don’t know, you can acquire Overwatch League Tokens in two ways. The first is by watching live league matches on eligible platforms. The second is by purchasing these tokens using real money. Since the 2021 Overwatch League concluded last year, you can only get these tokens now through the game’s eShop.

Another notable change in the March 15 update is the removal of the Horizon Lunar Colony and Paris maps from Quick Play and other non-ranked game modes. The developers have not disclosed the reason why they’ve removed the said maps in the non-competitive rotation but some people have their theories.

User @TuinSenna said that one likely reason for their removal is that people have been “spawn camping” players in Paris. This means that as soon as one team gets the upper hand by eliminating most, if not all, of the members of the opposing team, they could easily camp at the spawning site to prevent the newly respawned players from advancing and taking the objective. Another user said that basically everyone hates these maps.
