Yesterday, trainers around the world celebrated Pokémon Day. It was on February 27, 1996, when Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version were released and started what would become an empire.
In celebration of the 26th anniversary, below are some of the events taking place in current games across the franchise:
- Pokémon GO
- Pokémon that first appeared in the Alola region start to appear in this game beginning March 1.
- Pokémon Masters EX
- There is an ongoing event to celebrate 2.5 years of the game since its release.
- As part of the event, players receive 3,000 gems and the chance to scout 10 sync pairs each day for 10 days for free.
- Trainers May, Skyla, and Raihan appear in special outfits as part of the celebration.
- Pokémon Café ReMix
- A log-in bonus of a celebratory crown outfit for Bulbasaur (available until March 8).
- A four-day period of an increased chance of Shiny Piplup appearing (until March 1).
- The opportunity to use the new delivery feature 11 times at no cost (until March 8).
- Pokémon UNITE
- Trainers can immediately try out the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa and earn its Unite license.
- Players can enjoy a Pokémon Day log-in event until March 14 to receive a Pokémon Day hat and t-shirt in-game.
- Trainers get to experience full-fury battles, a new type of quick battle.
Daybreak Update
A new software update is now available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The Daybreak update has trainers investigate a mysterious mass outbreak of Pokémon popping up across the Hisui region. Players also get the chance to go against strong opponents like Legendary Pokémon and wardens.
As part of the Pokémon Day celebration, players can receive items by entering in the Mystery Gifts menu the password below:
ARCEUSADVENTURE
The gift includes 30 Ultra Balls, 30 Gigaton Balls, and 30 Jet Balls. This offer expires on March 31.
Oak’s Letter
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, trainers receive an item known as Oak’s Letter. Once received, trainers can talk to Professor Oak on Route 224. He then asks for help regarding a stone tablet like one found in the Kanto region. As the Trainers help Professor Oak, the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin appears. Trainers can then follow it and try to add it to their team.
